Skinner Express

Post by .45Steel » Tue Dec 26, 2017 4:36 pm

Just read down through some of these posts and won't bother asking. Some needed to and some didn't need to change the front sight.
Anyhow...I just put an all blue Skinner Express receiver mounted sight on my Henry Steel .45 Colt. I can't wait to get to the range and shoot her. Hopefully I won't have to change out the front sight. I ran a string through the peep, over the Buckhorn and to the front bead and it's gonna be really close.

Best of luck. If you do have to change out the front sight, though, don't sweat it. Not hard to do.

Changing will be the fun part. It's the ordering and waiting that gets to me.

Update. Andy sent me a lower front sight. I screwed the rear down about 3 full turns and shot 1" high at 50 yrds., dead nuts center. I love this skinner set up. Happy shooter here again and I don't have to look at that scope on my lever gun any more.
