Sig Range Finder

Bought a new toy (Kilo Canyon model range finder) yesterday, since I've wanted one for years. I've been guessing at ranges, or pacing off close range, for decades. Price was ok ($180). Took me about an hour to figure out how to program the thing, but once I got that done I was pleased with the operation of it. It will range up to 3000yds, which I'll certainly never encounter. Don't own a rifle capable of that range anyway. I was surprised that it's Export (ITAR,EAR) restricted, and the shop needed my birthday and other info to sell it.

You can look up the other details here:

I bought aSig model RF the week after Thanksgiving, I don't remember which model and am not at the house at the moment. Like your's it will range mu h farther than I will ever need. It was $300, but marked down to $199.
I've been quite satisfied with it.
I didn't know it, but one of the counter guys said Sig bought Nikon's patents.

Couldn't find anything definitive about that. Several other forums speculated about Sig having done so, but others said similar about Crimson Trace. The only thing I could find definitive was about Jackie Bushman, having originally partnered with Nikon for the Buckmaster scope, repartnered with SIG for the Buckmaster after Nikon quit.
