DNZ mounts for Henry 45/70

Post by Silver Belly62 » Mon Mar 27, 2023 10:10 am

Was wondering if anyone has used DNZ mounts for Henry 45/70. I have two of the H010 rifles I'm interested in getting these for but looks like they might possibly not be available for this specific rifle. Have used them on a couple other rifles and have worked great.

Ive not ever used one on a levergun because Im not real fond of scoping a levergun. I realize for some its a necessity because of aging eyes. Im still lucky enough to be able to shoot with irons right now. However I do have a DNZ scope mount on a hunting rifle and have used there mount on a Ruger 10/22. I personally really like there mounts and would not hesitate to order one for your guns.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

I like DNZ mounts and have them on my scoped Marlin 336. Hope they work for your 45-70.

I emailed DNZ and they said the same ones for the Marlin with four hole pattern will work for my Henry. Only thing is the lowest height they make is a medium, guess I'll give one a try

Well decided not to use the DNZ as they didn't make a low mount. Already had a Henry pic rail that I've had for some time so decided to pic up another one and used Warne QD rings for one and Warne Maxima rings for the other, both low. I had several of the Redfield 2x7 scopes I picked up before they were discontinued so used one of those and for the other rifle I used a Leupold Var III 1.5-5. Now range time

I used this low mount on one of my Henrys, Hammers Marlin Rifle Scope Rail https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01D229IBO
With rings 0.97 inch height (ring base to scope center). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01IG ... UTF8&psc=1
The ring base combo was as low as I could go with eye piece clearance to hammer (with hammer extender).
