Oh wow, Don't have my notes in front of me right now, however, if memory serves me correctly, I think I went 15 to 18 inch lbs. and used purple locktite. I bought and used a Wheeler Fat Wrench driver and have not had to re-adjust since. I will re-post if I discover I'm wrong. Sorry FP, I know this might not help given that I'm unsure, but I think those are the specs I used. I do remember though that the ring cap screws were recommended by Talley to be at 17 to 20 inch lbs. I just confirmed that. The torque on the base is per gun mfr. recommended specs which is how I arrived at the 15 to 18 inch lbs. I believe that is what Henry told me. One can always go tighter, however, overtightening can result in a stripped receiver...

I used the values that were on the instruction sheet that came with my bases.

I have the same mount as Hatch on my 41BBS.
I did not really need the hammer extension, but I like them and they do make pulling the hammer back easier.
Especially in a hunting situation. 😉I have them on most of my scoped leverguns.

Randy, does Vortex still make that scope?

Appreciate the input. I haven't got all these things together and just want to be pro active. I also know that some of you have a lot of experience and may have better advice that some instructions that come with things anymore.
