Congratulations on the new spotting scope. It is obvious though, one does not have to look far to see the beauty there.
I believe you have found your utopia Gene.
I started looking just over a year ago. I’ve been here for three months and going back to Seattle (Woodinville) for the last time to pick up my van and ammo. I’m currently on Amtrak in Minot, ND.

Everything is finally coming together.

Nice
I know what you are saying about clarity, mainly use our spotters for 25-50m pistol shooting so my kowa has a fixed 20x wife has a cheap scope is 18-36x.
Shooting the HMR one day at 150 and amazing that the better glass meant it was easier to see 17cal holes with the kowa at 20x than the cheaper scope at 36x.

You will want to keep the house windows clean if using it indoors and looking through them. They dont even have to appear dirty to really detract from the performance, when I had the shop and customers were looking at scopes or binoculars and wanted to look through them I would always send them out onto the sidewalk so they got a real indication of the optics not my dirty shop windows.

I received my tripod today and ordered the adapter for my camera. Actually I bought a dedicated camera for it.

I’m picturing a picture (huh?) of one of those monster 6x6 Wisconsin whitetails.

My morning view of the countryside. I fell in love with Wisconsin in 2017 when I bought my teardrop and visited you and Bill.

I posted this same picture in the coffee and weather thread.

I just received an email saying the adapter I need is back ordered and will ship in 7 to 9 weeks. Bummer.

I received my new Kowa TSN-99A scope a few days ago. I canceled the order on the tripod because it wasn’t really what I wanted and didn’t find something else that would arrive before I left for Washington.

The scope is fantastic although not having a tripod makes it difficult to sight. The view out my upstairs bedroom window. It I remember correct Timms Hill is about 3,200 feet away.

This is the viewfinder taken from my cellphone. It’s extremely difficult to handhold the phone as it’s depth of field is extremely narrow.

This cropped picture approximates the view although the field of view is bigger. This is at 25x.

It’s now at 70x. The height of the floors would be about 8 feet so that gives an indication of the magnifying power at 3,200 feet.

What is really lacking in the pictures is the sharpness. Viewing directly through the lens it is crystal clear with lots of contrast. These pictures were taken at twilight. This scope is a winner and when I get a tripod and camera attachment I should be able to take great pictures.
Any more pics since Spring? Amazing Kowa scope you got there :-)
