Budget scope for 44 big boy

Post by Johnnyjr » Tue Sep 28, 2021 7:38 am

What's a good low dollar scope for the Henry big boy in 44 mag. Right now I have a fast fire red dot on it,but thinking of something with a bit more pin point accuracy. Being on a fixed income really sucks. Thanks for any advice. Johnny

I have a Nikon Buckmaster II 3-9x40 on my .41 mag that I paid about $125 for 3 years ago. They are out of production now, but you might be able to find one at your local gun shop or on-line. It's an excellent low dollar scope, although it looks outsized on a lever gun.

Looks good to me. Just took a Nikon off my 243 and put it on the Henry. Shout work out fine. Now to go to the range and sight it in. 50 yards will be good for my area.

I have a Nikon 2-7 on mine and it works great but no longer made. Bushnell Banner has always worked well for me on other rifles.

Amazon has the Burris Full Field II 3-9x40 with Ballistic Plex for $148.19 with free shipping. Worth a look. These are good scopes for what you're looking for.

I have a Vortex Crossfire II, it is usually around $125. I waited for Cabella's/Bass Pro to offer 10% off and ordered it. So far it is clear and holds zero. This is part of the Vortex cheap Chinese made scopes but still comes with a lifetime unconditional warranty. When shopping online and looking at different comparison's of affordable rifle scopes it wins or seems to make every list.

That scope should work just fine.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......
