Cor bon is the brand wfn" wide flat nose". Edit: looks like Gene beat me to the punch.

Win some, lose some. I have a couple neighbors that cast their own wfn & other bullets, and are always looking for wheel weights and other lead. :)
Here's the one I cast, the mold says 268, but mine average 275 grs.

Just an aside; Don't know if you have feral hog in your part of the country, but we have a large population in MS. Guys that hunt them like the WFN for short range since a jhp or round nose is not a reliable bullet for the 300+ pound hogs that are fairly common here. The heavy bone, etc. will stop a typical jhp or deflect a rn from hitting the vitals.

Shotgun with Brenneke slugs or sabot rounds, or .308 is also a common weapon for the hogs.

Bellum Omnium Contra Omnes is rapidly becoming a reality (11/2023). Para Bellum.

If you want to try a red dot, the TRS-25 is a whole lot of scope for the money, perhaps the best “bargain” one out there, and there are frequent sales. …. https://www.amazon.com/Bushnell-Trophy ... 756&sr=8-5

I have one mounted on a 10/22 and it excels at fast snap shots close distances. Not great on a handgun, it takes too long to acquire the dot. I have an older Leupold 2-7x32 optic with low Warne QD rings for range use and plinking with my .44X. It stays off when the gun is used for campground bear defense. I do not find the Fire Sights to be hard to use at all. I do add a tactical light since an encounter would most likely be in the dark. Place the bright spot of the round beam of light on the bear’s center of mass, shoot, scream, repeat as needed…..

We don't have any real close to me, but maybe an hours ride south they say there are some.
I'd like to try and slap one of those with one my little fat babies. ;)
