New sights for single six!

Post by PJM » Sun Jun 27, 2021 8:00 am

Had to help out old eyes! Was never a fan of factory sights. William's firefights are the way to go. Not much different dimension wise from originals.

Take the grips off, then unhook one of the hammer springs. See what you think, I do that to all my Rugers.

Nice project there! Would like those sights on my .44 Mag SBH but the front sight looks to be a one piece unit brazed on.
Now those might work on my Ruger Alaskan!
I have done the poor man's spring job too and it helps. Bought a Wolff Spring kit to reduce hammer pull and trigger on a couple of my SA Rugers and very happy with the results. My 45 Colt Bisley BH had a strong hammer pull.

Front sight has a single screw to attach. Interesting trigger info..... must have been lucky with my GP100 and Security 6, triggers were fine.

Nice PJM
That is a big reason why I chose my .22 Single Ten. ( the Williams Sights ).
