Looking for a recommendation, no red dot

As the title states, non red dot for 50-150 yards? Magnification is a must even at 50 yards. Small, lite and cheap would be great.

This scope hits two of the three criteria you stated. Small and light but not cheap. You didn’t mention what caliber you’re looking to put an optic on but I like this scope for pistol caliber carbines. Mostly because it’s parallax set at 60 yards (Rimfire version) which for me is a good distance for my pistol caliber lever rifles. Last year they were everywhere for $199.00 but Leupold put a $100.00 price increase on this scope so now it’s $299.00. No idea why the increase. A less expensive option is the Vortex, either the Rimfire version which is parallax set at 50 yards or the centerfire version which is parallax set at 100 yards. Either should work with a pistol caliber carbine. I contacted Vortex and they assured me the scopes will withstand the recoil of a centerfire carbine.

I have these two here Leupold 1.5 x 4, and
the Vortex 2 x 4.
Both light weight and work well.

If you[OP] can find a Weaver Classic V in 1-3x20mm, Made in Japan, buy it! Have one on my Henry .357 and its perfect.

Assume you're looking for something for your new .45LC? I'd stay away from .22 scopes on that rifle, since they usually aren't built to handle heavy recoil.
Nikon Buckmaster on my .41 BBSC. Unfortunately they are out of production, but you might be able to find one for under $150. Excellent 3-9x40. I admit it looks too big on this rifle, but looks ain't everything.
