I contacted the maker to see if he can make one in a reddish brown leather. Would look better.

*He emailed me back right away and said he can make it same color as my Henry one. 8-) 8-)

**Been chatting with the gunstock cover guy and he will make an real nice one for the 1885 High Wall when it finally shows up. Same color as my Henry one, but with the rough side of the leather out and a real nice fringe. Will look real old timey on that rifle for sure.

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

For sure...

I also have a saddle scabbard for the new rifle too so I can go all Quigley and pack it horseback sometimes. 40" scabbard!

Should be a good week...powder, lead and primers on their way, lots of clean brass and I treated myself to a new suede cartridge belt too...should be here this week, supposed to be very comfortable to wear. Even though I pack cartridges on the stock covers I always wear some extras in the back country.

Id like to know how you like that when you get it. Its just the belt and not meant for a holster for the pistola isnt it.

You can definitely fit a holster on it. But in my case it will pack my knife.
