Model Train Forum

Post by Sir Henry » Sun Nov 01, 2020 10:36 pm

I just joined a model train forum. I hope it’s as friendly as this forum and that they go easy on stupid questions.

Hey All,

I was at the mecca for model trains a couple years ago. It is absolutely amazing.

Really cool! Not one to miss for people who love trains.

I haven’t been approved yet on the train forum so I can’t post there yet. I have been reading a lot of the posts and don’t think I’m going to be a good fit. They talk a lot of politics and bad mouth each other and they don’t seem to talk about trains except to criticize each other.

Just finished building 2 train tables, I just finished a hand formed (cardboard and paper mache) tunnel and mountains. Just roughed out, next is to add color and trees. Long way to go, will give periodic up dates! Trying to come up with ideas for the longer table. I just noticed in pics my granddaughter’s rain forest biome school project shadow box she is working on😀

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Is there a site for slotcar nerds? I enjoyed my HO train days, but I really got into the cars.

Remember, it's not how many guns you have. It's how many bullets you have.

I've been involved with model trains since around 1955.

I'm on that site as DanERIE but haven't posted much.

My current interest is N-Scale with main concentration on the ERIE Railroad, Erie-Lackawanna and Great Northern.

Here are a few of my ERIE diesels.
