A friend of mine sawed with a Detroit Diesel for years, but many years before that his Grand Dad sawed with Steam. When fuel prices went wild for a while, I tried talking him into going back to Steam. I checked into it but another friend of mine convinced me that the EPA would never go for it in a commercial operation. I never got to see his Grand Dad's mill though as it was long gone by the time I came around.
