We have our first member to make six range reports and he now has Range Reporter: Six Shooter in his signature. Please give PT7 a big pat on the back for making six range reports. At tweleve reports it changes to Range Reporter: 12 Gauge and at twenty-four it goes to Range Reporter: Henry Repeater.

Congratulations PT7. I regret I haven't been able to read all six of them. I've been busy with other things. I do like how Sir Henry has arranged them into a forum. I will enjoy my shooting vicariously through everyone else's report.

Note also that Sir Henry is a "Six Shooter." He must have mis-counted when he built the new "Range Reports" Forum.

Even though I like each of your notes you sent, I really want to obey Retired Seabee's "order" that I "get back to the range!" (He must carry a hangover from those military days...). I look forward to each Tuesday range day (sometimes Thursday), and just have to keep my eye on the weather. This week does not look good, so I hope I don't end up in the brig if I don't get out! In fact, for the next 14 days straight there are daily predictions of rain and/or thunderstorms in our area! Almost seems like spring is starting over.

But getting to the range is what it's all about, and most fun. I don't know your goals, but my Range Reports come in three most enjoyable parts:

First -- Shooting time on the range! The BEST PART.
Second -- Writing a range report for the Henry Forum. Helps me experience the range a second time!
Third -- Either the day I was at the range, or early the next day, I enjoy cleaning my Henry rifle or Ruger revolver. Like to see that transformation back to shiny!

Now that's a fun three-part package!

So come on, Henry Folk....I know there is a lot of range time happening. Let's see some more "Six Shooters" out there, and keep SH busy posting all those badges!

SH, all I can think of is that the post office must have lost the check/envelope. To make sure you'd get it, I even put two postage stamps on it.
Ah well, so very sorry. My check-mailing policy is that a check payment only goes out one time. Guess you won't be getting the badge $$ this time, since it looks like the PO didn't come through.

Congrats PT7. Always enjoy your range reports along with everyone else right now. Since our range is still closed for repairs and rain is forecast 5 of the next 7 days , I may never get to shoot again.

I went through nine months of the range not opening till 4 pm. In the winter it was dark and no/few people went. The range has only had normal hours for a few weeks.

See WS? They close, they open. Almost like sunup and sundown!

Thanks for the encouragement guys. I know it will eventually reopen, but the wait is frustrating. Sorry if I sound like a pitiful whiner...okay, I am a pitiful whiner.

I go out during the winter when I can only shoot a few rounds and then have to get in the truck and warm up. Just really love it when warm weather comes around and more daylight and I can stop by in the evenings on my way home. That time arrived and they close the place down. Just frustrating that a 15 day project is now on day 42. Stopped by yesterday, and it is still a long way from being ready to reopen.

Honestly, the changes are long overdue and are going to make it a nicer, safer place to shoot. The new leadership at our club is willing to spend some money to make it a better place. The old leadership had almost $400,000 in the bank and the place was falling apart.

I would like to do some shameful self promotion and announce I made my sixth range report today.
