1. save the picture you want to use on your computer ... resize it to 200 X 200 or less pixels .... save the resized picture on your computer in a location where you can find it

2. click on your forum name located in the upper right of your screen

3. a window will drop down ... click on User Control Panel

4. screen will change .... click on Profile

5. click on Edit Avatar

6. Avatar Type box should read Upload Avatar

7. Click on Browser and select the picture saved on you computer

8. click on Submit

save a picture to your computer .... open your picture processing program and call up the picture .... under the "Image" heading on several programs I've seen they have a Resize option .... can't say its that way for all processing programs
