Boy, time sure flies

Post by daytime dave » Sun Mar 26, 2023 9:42 am

I had a busy week last week and I hadn't been around here much. Catching up today I just realized we passed the seven year mark. I'm still having fun, how about you all?

Yup, still having a blast, and I have been here a good while myself.

Funny as just the other day, I counted 7 Stars. I said 7 Stars? Time sure does go fast.

Good work Dave.

Happy anniversary to all. Jim, you're right. I daily enjoy catching up with my friends. Keep up the good work all.
Just beginning to use the 'range' we built. Got my son a Wrangler for his birthday. He is thrilled with it. Lol. He, of course is better with it than I am. But we were both ringing steel from 10 yesterday. Lot o fun.

Itโ€™s even harder to believe Iโ€™ve known a few of you for what must be 15 years from the Ruger Forum.

I have been here from the start and still enjoy it just as much as I always have. This forum has very friendly members. I don't contribute much to the forum since I don't do my own pictures. Without pictures some threads seem to be a waste of time. Thanks to BigAl for always being there when I need pictures posted. Great folks on the forum that are willing to help members when they can. I have some diecast car pictures I need to send BigAl to post for me. They will be in the diecast section soon.

Interesting how relationships developed via these forums. Many years ago I was active on the Marlin forum and there was another guy from Spokane on there too. He also was on our local guntrader site so eventually we made a deal on something and met up. Come to find out we knew each other from the early 80โ€™s shooting handgun Silhouette together.

Just for the fun of it I dug out this picture of a newspaper article he gave me back in the day. Iโ€™m the bushy guy second from the left and heโ€™s the guy wearing the shirt about โ€œdo it in two minutesโ€, etc. 42 years ago, man you ought to see us now.

I used to read the "old" Henry forum and could see that it was without much new life. I was happy when this one started and joined quickly. Thanks to you and Sir Henry for keeping this going and making it such a good place to be.

Red, I'm in the Walnut/Diamond Bar area, right next to the Orange Co. line. Give a shout next time you're in the area.
