my Canon Rebel XT EOS finally bit the dust. It is so old Canon won't fix it as it is obsolete in digital time. I have over thousands in lenses for it. New bodies are outrages in price. So....Does anyone here have Rebel XT in working order they want to get rid of? Not interest in any lenses. Thanks

Re: camera body
Wiz, Check out Amazon. It appears you can still buy a used, reconditioned body for less than $100.The Wiz wrote: ↑Mon Sep 14, 2020 5:10 pmmy Canon Rebel XT EOS finally bit the dust. I don't know what is happening with the camera industry anymore. I have been searching every store around and I can't find even one roll of film for my Kodak.

Re: camera body
I will have to say this. I have an old Canon rebel. It was a decent camera at the time. I got Clovispup a new Nikon for Christmas year before last. It is twice the camera that the Canon is. I doubt it is the manufacturer, but rather how much the technology has improved over time. I want to say the Rebel is something like 8 megapixels. The Nikon is 24.2 megapixels. And there is much more to it than just the megapixels. I see some of the Canon DSLR two lens packages on sale for under $500. I would imagine you could get an up to date entry level DSLR body for not too much more than the cost of a used rebel. I think you would be much happier, and a new body would likely last longer than a 10+ year old used body.
