This is an old photo that I took in the early 1970's when I was fishing and hunting up in Northern Quebec in the CIP logging territory. I think the Lakes were named Moore and Oliva. It's been a long time. We pulled a trailer and boat for 108 miles on a dirt road once we got off the main road. (Canadian International Paper Company territory)

Likely hasn't changed much. Except our pulp and paper industry has been down for years.

Nice photo, Dutch, and even looks a little familiar. We saw quite a lot of hillside logging areas when we lived/traveled in the Pacific Northwest in the late 90s. Beautiful country.

Looks like a lot of the places I've camped and fished.

Me neither.

One in black and white, I took around 1970 near Lake Capitachuan, CIP logging territory, Quebec. And one a buddy took of me, about a year later near the same location, 108 miles off the beaten path. Other than a few French Canadian loggers, the only other human that we ran into up there was an old French Canadian trapper that lived up there in a cabin with two Siberian huskies. He invited us over from our campsite one evening because he said he got a bit lonely there. He was sort of an "unofficial game warden" for that area, whatever that meant. He gave us a drink of his "moonshine" whiskey, and yes, you only needed a small sip.
