An early afternoon portrait of three of our regular visitors including a Rabbit and a Mourning Dove, two first producers (turning plants into meat) at the water garden with a statue of the Laughing Buddha who thinks everything in this world is funny. There's also a Green Frog sitting just below the waterfall looking for an opportunity to make the Buddha happy.

Your water garden looks superb, CT .... it's easy to see why the rabbit and dove enjoy paying it a visit, especially with Budai keeping a friendly eye out for them.

I've enjoyed photos of your water garden in previous posts, CT. Glad to see this one again. DD has it spot on when he posted "beautiful and very peaceful."
One thing that was
fun about your photo today is that I've never really seen a "Laughing Buddha." If I did, may not have notice the facial expression. Anyway, did a google question on the Laughing Buddha, and a lot of stuff came up. Found a basic description, and it was most interesting to learn this Buddha could be based on an actual monk who lived centuries ago. Don't know the OP of this paragraph; sorry I cannot give proper credit:
Laughing Buddha was a big heart Zen Master. The Laughing Buddha (also known as Hotei in Japan or Pu-Tai in China) is thought to be based on an actual wandering Chinese monk who lived at the time of the Liang Dynasty (907-923 AD). He is usually shown smiling or laughing, hence his nickname the Laughing Buddha.
Keep those great yard vistas coming our way!!
