Moon shots

Post by daytime dave » Mon Aug 07, 2023 1:14 pm

Right around the beginning of the month I was at camp and the moon was great as it came up over the mountains at dusk. It was almost like sunrise.
Stan mentioned it in a post and I finally got the pictures off my camera. Thanks for the reminder Stan.

Great shot Dave, I'm a big fan of reflection shots as well as Moon shots so you ticked two boxes. :P

Taking Fiona for her evening ride a few nights ago, I caught the full moon rising, but the clouds make it milky. I loved the effect.

A little trivia, the proper exposure for the moon is roughly the same as taking a landscape picture here on earth in bright sunlight. That assumes you want the moon itself properly exposed, versus any landscape that is being lit by the moon.

We stayed up last week and watched the super moon come up. Here is my “awesome” attempt at a picture with my phone.
