A Few Images From Vancouver Island

Post by EasyEd » Thu Mar 10, 2022 8:08 pm

Hey All,

A couple from me...

Fuji X-T4 all SOOC (straight out of camera) no post processing...

These are all from a local park 5 mins away that I often go to.

This last image is one I admit I am especially pleased with. It is a person walking along a snow covered trail with an effect I added in the field walking behind him. I have thought about entering this in a competition or something.

Any and all comments/criticisms welcome!!!

I remember a trip we made to Vancouver Island when I was a kid, probably early teens. Took the ferry to Nanaimo, drove down to Victoria and took the Ferry from there to somewhere on the mainland. I remember being very impressed by Butchart Gardens. That's the only time I've been to Canada even though I only live a couple of hundred miles away from the Border. I think that was probably the last road trip made with my father, he passed when I was in Junior High.

Like the photos, especially the forest floor with all the ferns.

Beautiful pics Ed, especially the forest floor shot. Pretty incredible the changes in environment between the costal region and just a short trip inland. Like Dave, I haven’t been to Canada for many years even tho I’m less than a 100 miles away. My wife and I got our enhanced drivers license required for crossing the border just before Covid hit and closed the border. When the world gets back to normal I’m planning a trip to Vancouver as neither my wife nor I have ever been there.

Thanks for posting.
