Facing the Day Together

Post by RetiredSeabee » Thu Apr 14, 2016 5:52 pm

This is my favorite model when she was three years old. She was accustomed to me pointing a camera at her and would settle into a pose naturally.
I had set Georgie up to get a shot of him gazing out to sea. Georgie gets into a lot of things and is photographed pretty often.
Miranda just walked over and joined him to see what he was looking at.
The two of them became one heart and soul the day she was born. They have gotten each other through some stormy days and have shared the brightest days.

Seabee,

For me, this neat picture sure helps this "more-elderly guy" to once again see through the eyes of a child.
Enjoyable!
Thanks much for posting it.

P.S. Years ago my wife got my childhood friend from my Mom. He is a rabbit, and is described in The Velveteen Rabbit book. Indeed, he was velvety-soft and fluffy back then. But living with me all through childhood, he sure grew threadbare, and is kind of "falling apart" nowadays! The interesting thing (maybe a little embarrassing, too) is that my wife has him displayed in her wooden shelf collection of "favorite things." She has him sitting right next to that book, and 'tis astonishing that he is still around! :)
