I went to camp this past weekend. It was 70 at home Thu and Fri. It was 60 in Lake Placid. On Saturday, we went to Henry's woods. It's a great couple of miles of trails. There is a hill, not really a mountain, with a nice view in spots. I wore my oilskin jacket and the Stetson Sturgis hat. No need for more. It was cold when the wind blew air off the ice of the trail, but warm when the air came from above. Here are some shots.
After we left, we stopped for coffee in Ray Brook. As we came out, the rain came in buckets. After dinner, the rain changed to snow.
The next day, we climbed Baker mountain outside Saranac Lake. It was quite beautiful and very cold. 20 f with 4o mph winds going down. My hands were very cold and one of my YakTrax got caught on a root and ripped. The view was very nice though after the snow fall.
The site should be fixed. We show secure now, we should have a favicon and the picture aspect should be better.
