The Hummingbirds are beautiful, but I really love the Hawk and Lizard shot. Outstanding work, CH. Thanks.

Re: Clovis" 2026 Images
With time on my hands around the house, I've been playing around a little with editing some images to look like charcoal or pen and ink drawings. Hummingbirds seem to be excellent subjects for this. Some images work better than others for the technique.
Here's one I tried for a chalk drawing style.
The first one prints extremely well on matte presentation paper, which can be folded into a greeting card. I may have to try the color version to see how it prints. Some folks might like the color better.

And now for something completely different.
This hawk keeps hanging around in the two yards behind me.
And another hummingbird picture.

That first Hawk pic takes me back to Hitchcock’s The Birds.
That’s almost a scary shot, well done!

Re: Clovis" 2026 Images
That wasn't the look I was going for when I shot the image, but when I looked at the raw image from the camera, I knew I had to turn it into a selective color B&W image. Besides being low key, and the intense look of the hawk, the fence posts and boards look like tombstones. I wanted to remove the out of focus diagonal object behind the hawk's head, I find it distracting, but Lightroom couldn't quite manage it. At least it couldn't at my skill level. I might give it another try. Lightroom's remove tool is awesome, but doesn't handle every situation well.
Here's the color version of it. I don't like it as well.
