We just returned from camp. We attended a mass this morning for her cousin in Tupper Lake. He passed this summer at his home in Wyoming. Yesterday, I climbed St. Regis Mountain. It's behind Paul Smith's College. I wanted it to be the pinnacle of my "new" climbing abilities. The view was astonishing. I felt I was a pebble on the beach from the top of the fire tower there. Here are a few pics. We took a side trail down to Spitfire lake on the way down. I'm not sure what the car is, I want to say Studebaker, but I'm not sure.
The site should be fixed. We show secure now, we should have a favicon and the picture aspect should be better.

Those are some great shots. The bottom one is my favorite.

Thanks. I went from an android to an iphone at the end of September. I'm still trying to figure out how to get the pictures from the iphone onto the computer automatically. These were put on manually.
The bottom photo was a panorama shot from under the fire tower. The breeze was so cold she only stayed on the top for about 15 minutes. It took 1.5 hrs to get there. I tried to maximize the photos.

Beautiful countryside, majestic views. Glad you sought the pinnacle.daytime dave wrote:We just returned from camp. We attended a mass this morning for her cousin in Tupper Lake. Very easy to see how viewing this "astonishing" landscape can make a person contemplative.....
Tiny Pebbles
No one notices
The tiny pebbles.
How much space
they can hold;
How much meaning
They can possess.
No one realizes
That small things
Can be big things
They start of small
But grow, and grow;
Those small pebbles
Hold everything.
No one understands
That those pebbles,
Tiny as can be
Hold bigger things;
Taking them away
Sends huge, rolling boulders
Your way.
