I took my wife yesterday evening on a two person picnic up to Mt. Davis. We had our picnic at a roadside picnic area on Mt. Davis. Then when we finished she wanted to ride to the lake up there called High Point. It was quite a bit cooler there with a very light breeze and the water was crystal clear. There were a few boats on the water(electric only) and some fishermen bank fishing. Some of the fishermen complained about the rattlesnakes in the area of the lake. We saw a lot of fish jumping and seen a few caught but nothing big. This lake is known for really big Muskie and Pike. They have damaged the Walleye fishing that used to be great. The last time I fished here I did catch a 22" largemouth and released it back to the lake. I took a few pictures to share with our forum members of the lake area. This is near the picnic area we stopped at.

The boat ramp end of the lake. I like the cloud reflection in the water.

Looking toward the south side shore and the other boat ramp.

Looking west with the sun almost down. Past the point on the right it goes on to the dam.

It is so quiet and peaceful up there you almost think you are deaf. I love the area but they have terrible winter time weather.
