A couple of old birds.

I got a nice tom turkey this morning. I've been an avid turkey hunter ever since they started thriving here in Wisconsin and this one is number 20. There have been a few blank years in that time because a turkey has a brain about the size of a pea and they use all of it.
I'm looking forward to strips of turkey breast marinaded overnight in avacado oil and seasoning and grilled 2 1/2 minutes on each side on the Weber set at medium heat.

Congrats 5shot!
We have a bunch on our land, and I've yet to get one myself.
We have to stop hunting at noon, and I can't tell you how many times I ride up from the woods to the house, and have a small flock all hanging out under our bird feeders. I think they know what time it is.

We see them quite often, too, sometimes right in our yard.

Congrats. Not much on turkey hunting really.
I've killed a couple and both were completely by accident.
Hey Al, they are pretty good eating.

Great photos of the turkeys. The only one I ever shot was here in Florida many years ago as he flew over me with my trusty 870. He was very good eating.
