Went out this morning and got this bull gambels with the first shot fired from my new single shot. Hopefully, many more to come.

Nicely done! 20 gauge is the perfect choice for smaller game birds.

I have a grand total of 6 quail this season, and I estimate that I have walked about 10 miles per bird. Calorie exchange is pretty negative, but I have enjoyed seeing some new country. These little suckers are plenty sporting for me, and the single shot just adds to the challenge.
