Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Pheasant season starts tomorrow in SD besides grouse and prairie chicken, Hungarian partridge. Big business in SD, knee feels good might just give it a try!

Remember growing up in S.D. and hearing pheasants in the cornfields. Sounds of autumn.

Ditto on quail being fine table fare. My favorite wild game to eat, along with dove.

Back home. I'm tellin' you folks, I'm getting too old for chasing chukar. I was out of breath and cuss words in about 10 minutes! Those birds simply mess with you. Got two, along with 5 quail, which were a bit easier. Those chukar, you chase 'em, they go down, go back down, those guys go up! Geez!
Had a good time tho and slept like a baby last night in camp. Course beer had nothing to do with it. Clean the shotgun tomorrow, watch game 7 of the Dodgers tonight and zzzzz!

Hey All,
I loved hunting chukars on rocky hillsides in Oregon. So fast and low flying really a challenge to hit.

Jim, it was indeed. But, turning 70 next month, that was exhausting. Maybe 1 or 2 more upland chases in me. But, man it IS fun. I think!
