... I know they're pests, I've had to replace two over hangs because of their chewing, but ....
The word 'pest' is an understatement. Have to replace Christmas light strings 2-3 times each season because they get chewed up. I'm constantly making repairs to drip irrigation. I've spent $1000s between two vehicles replacing fuel lines and wiring harnesses. I shoot them but move them out of sight to places where the coyotes and birds of prey can do the clean up.
Yup, I've fed a few hawks and feral cats.

I better make sure wife don’t see your post. She usually asks if got any when I walk in the house. If I tell her I saw a couple but let them go, she’ll start fussing. If you don’t want to build new storage sheds, you better shoot them.

Squirrel jumped me this afternoon. I was sitting in chair with my back facing my shooting backstop. He jumped off the backstop on the back of my head and neck. Glad I had hood over my head.

I don’t know what all I did, but if he had got close to my feet, I probably wouldn’t have had to shoot him.

Wow, you are a magnet. I have only seen a few reds while sitting in the tree stand. Those few reds are more than the deer I haven't seen. lol.

Im seeing at least a couple just about every afternoon I go now. Just don't want to see them on me. Ive had them close enough to touch over the the years, but never had one to jump on me. Haven't been deer hunting yet. Usually get a doe before Christmas and another one in January. Sometimes , if room in the freezer will get a third one.

Not having anyone around anymore that eats them, I haven't hunted as much and when I do, I watch them but don't shoot. Wife and I both being under the weather since right after Christmas didn't help any. Squirrel season goes out first week in March. I don't know, may go some and scout out new areas for next season. Did get my deer meat in the freezer for another year though.

Well, squirrel season is officially over. The folks that's passed on that I always give to were family and life long friends. Just didn't get into it like I always have.

I know y'all are gonna tell me I told you so and probably thinking some other choice words to say, especially Mags, but after telling you I didn't shoot many squirrels this past season, they are doing a number on my rafters again. Want be no sitting and watching anymore. Mags, I thought about you when a couple came out from under my SUV under carport.
