Ha...called up two big gobblers and with the greatest of ease, shot over the top of ones head and missed him clean.. oh well, the old man goes home and is no worse off than I was before and the silly turkey lives to gobble another day...the world jeeps turning. Maybe next time.....

The clueless Governer of Washington State had closed both the hunting season and the fishing seasons state wide. Yep, pretty hard to social distance while out fishing in a boat or sitting in your turkey blind. In fairness there was a problem in Western Washington at the beginning of the stay at home with large amounts of people fishing from shore. I have a back yard of turkeys and it’s fun watching the Tom’s strutting. The rest of the year they are a pain in the neck!

Turkey number met the 870 Remington this morning at 6:20. It did not survive the encounter. Turkey breast on the menu later this week. One tag left i could fill so I will probably go out a couple more times to see what happens, cause it's fun to be in the woods this time of spring.
