We saw them on the side of the road in rural FL a few years ago while down there for a fishing tournament. :?

The locals call them speed bumps.

That's a big fella.

The record for MS is a little over 14'. Most are under 10', so yeah this one might be the biggest catch this year. Season runs till 7 Sep. on public waters, so we'll see. :)

I'd like to know who was the designated Amos Moses on this hunt.

Thrill, yep. Especially when the gator nearly dumped them all out of the boat according to what one of them said.

I've always been impressed and amused by gators. They've been essentially unchanged for 37 million years. Pretty impressive for a critter with a brain the size of a walnut. Gives credence to Natures opinion that lots of big teeth and body armor are superior to a big brain for species survival.

That's 7 more than I have. Speaking on behalf of our species the jury is still out on the question of which is better, brains or teeth, but the prognosis for homo sapiens isn't looking too good. I'm betting on the gators. ;)

Lol, from what I have seen on the news lately, I think our species is going backwards in evolution. Some are not to far from swinging from tree to tree now.
