2021 KY Buck

Post by Deacon » Sat Nov 13, 2021 11:59 am

Shot my second whitetail with my BB 44 magnum. 11 pointer with one drop tine. 40 yd shot and he ran about 50 yards, stood there and shook for few seconds and dropped. All told it took about 30 seconds from the time of the shot. Modern gun season opened at 6:48 in KY this morning and by 7:05 I had my only allowed buck. Now what do I do?

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Very cool, and a drop tine! What a cool hunt. Can you hunt does?
I have the same gun with a scope. Awesome rifle and shot my first deer with it on opening evening this season. Feels great!

I got skunked on my first WT hunt this season, so my congrats are spiked with a touch of envy!

Trying to get back out in a few days, but I’m working at the coast, and we just had the biggest rain in history here (39” in 24 hours) and every single highway from the coast to the WT zone is closed. Mudslides, whole sections of 6 lane freeway gone, towns under water... It’s nuts. I’m really hoping they get at least one of the 4 options open by the weekend. I need a deer!
