2020 MS deer harvest

Post by GunnyGene » Mon Dec 21, 2020 1:17 pm

Just picked up my venison from the local processor. They aren't taking in any more till after Christmas, because they have run out of room to stack them up. This is the biggest harvest I've seen in my part of MS in 20 years! The processor(s) are working overtime 7 days a week, and have doubled their employee's to try to keep up. They think it's because people are panicking to fill their freezers because - you know. And we've still got a little over a month to go for this season. I'm going to try to bag another one in the next few weeks, but there may not be any left.

haven't heard any talk of how the season is going in our part of the country .... the only think I do know is I'm not hearing anywhere near the number of shots in the distance that we've heard in years past

All I'm hearing here is no one saw much.

Good luck on getting another one GunnyGene. I hope you fill your freezer(s) yourself. There has to be at least one left for you.

I think I'll let the others live another year. We've got enough to do us, and I don't see a need to take another that I might need next year. :)

Don't worry about getting older and still doing stupid stuff. You'll do the stupid stuff as always, only much slower. Hold my beer and watch this.......

Her, but yes. This is the 3rd season I've used the Henry. 3 years, 3 rounds, 3 deer. :)
