I am fortunate enough to have my own 200 + acres of forest to hunt. I find myself watching more than I shoot as the wildlife are entertaining. Especially the black bears and we have many, they are truly clowns of the forest to watch. I was on stand and watched a 400+ pounder wonder around for about 20 minutes, I had the hammer cak and ready many times. I was by myself and was worried i would not be able to harvest him by myself, and figgered I see him another day so he also walked.

Although I do shoot a few deer each year, so far an 8pt and a 10 pt and hopefully a doe next week. but I certainly like to also observe nature
