Thanks all, it was near 70°F when I shot it. Had my son and wife not helped part it out, I don't know if I would have gotten it cooled down in time.

It's the largest rack I've shot here. I've shot older and larger bucks, but none with a rack as wide or in as good a shape as this.

Nice looking buck, what is the inside spread? Congrats, what kind of rifle?
Our season started today, I went this afternoon and saw one nice buck trailing a doe with a little one,
They were too far for this old man to try and open sight shot that far and the low light.

It's a 50 cal cva model with a bergara barrel. I'm not a big fan of it. Getting repeatable accuracy is, well, hit or miss.

As for the spread, i've not measured it and wouldnt know where to start. I almost always target does and button bucks.
