Nice deer, congrats!
Re: Single shot 243 Buck
Nice quality buck indeed. Also I really like your picture with the leaves in the foreground and the bare trees in the background. Being a Northwest boy all my life I have only experienced scenery like yours in pictures. Very nice!

Re: Single shot 243 Buck
Sure thing, this Buck was trailing the scent of a doe and a smaller Buck that came through about 5 minutes before him. He was about 35 yards when I shot. Shot was right behind shoulder and fell where he stood. Using Hornady Precision Hunter 90 grain with the ELD-X bullet.

I'm liking those ELD-X bullets, I'm using them in a Creedmoor.Longbow2240 wrote: ↑Mon Nov 28, 2022 2:21 pmSure thing, this Buck was trailing the scent of a doe and a smaller Buck that came through about 5 minutes before him. They just flatten what ever they hit, got a buddy up in WI that swears by 'em.
Uses them in his -06, and Creedmoor. Most have fallen in their tracks.
