The site should be fixed. We show secure now, we should have a favicon and the picture aspect should be better.
Attached Images Render Out of XY Scale
Re: Attached Images Render Out of XY Scale
Way back when photobucket held everyone's posted image for ransom unless they paid up I ditched pb in favor of imgur.com - SO much better! AND totally free.

I used the attachment function and put a picture of my garden in here. It seems to be ok. I'll try posting a pic from my phone next.

This is posted from my iPhone. I took this with my iPhone.
I’m trying to understand the issue by duplicating it.

Re: Attached Images Render Out of XY Scale
Both of these look right to me. I don't usually use the attachment function, I use Flickr to post most of my images on the forum.
I'm still looking into this issue, but I'm not able to correct it through the admin area. I appreciate the help posted here.
I pay to use Flickr. I'm very happy with it, especially how it loads to the website right from my iPhone. I used to use photobucket, but when they froze your free account when it went over, I switched. I have noticed on many forums where the Photobucket image is missing on older posts.

I think the issues is when the picture is long and narrow. Notice the distortion in the top picture.

Yep, that's my finding as well. It's about the aspect ratio of the image to be posted.
It's either a problem with the phpBB software, or there's a some form of phpBB image posting sottware control that's not yet been accessed ... or found.
The only viable solution, for now, is to get on the case of the phpBB techs and make them accountable for their product.

That's good to know, too.

Re: Attached Images Render Out of XY Scale
From long time personal experience with PB, once they went mandatory fee based and then destroyed all free images that were already posted on forums I said adios, goodbye, good luck. I've used Flickr, but find the free Imgur image site the best for me so far and have been using it for well over a decade with zero issues and hundreds of images stored.

I learned a long time ago in the Army that if you try and bully someone around they just throw your paperwork in the trash. Re: Attached Images Render Out of XY Scale
I tried a few other free photo hosting apps, but I found that the amount of what I wanted to store would put me in the paying tier instead of the free storage amount. So I looked at features I liked and settled on Flickr. I am extremely happy with it. I look at other photographers work when I have time, which isn't as often as I would like to. I follow about 100 folks there and over 80 folks follow me for some reason. I have over 23,000 images there, around 79 GB I think. I find the cost reasonable for what I get. I never liked taking photographs on my phone, but my new iPhone 16 does a pretty good job. I still prefer my Canon gear, but that iPhone sure is handy.
There are no settings in the admin area for me to do anything about the images. I've gotten that far. I will dig up my phpbb username and password and ask them for input. I am not a computer person and I have a hard time understanding programming and internal settings. We will see how it goes. I had to nuke the site early on when I was setting it up, so I don't mess with the internals. I liken it to working on an engine while it's running. To answer a question previously asked, we are on version 3.2.8. While I was in the back room, I also found we have almost a quarter million posts, over 16,000 topics and a little over 3600 members. Not bad for a group of friends with similar interests.
