We pay the state a little, get a little back from the fed, basically break even. Perfect.

I'm still looking for comments from folks who have filed their 2021 Federal Taxes and received a refund .... looked it up, last year our Federal refund was deposited in our bank account 10 days after it was accepted .... this year ours was accepted on the 17th, hopefully this year's refund will be deposited late this week or early next week

You can check your refund status here, it told me several days before the refund was deposited what the anticipated deposit date was.

Got my Fed refund 3 days ago and the State is supposed to be deposited next week. Used Turbo Tax again and it worked really well and fast!

our Federal and State returns were both e-filed at the same time .... the Federal has been accepted, processed, and we've received our refund .... our State form is still shown as pending .... no clue why .... our state taxes always zero out, we owe nothing and don't get any refund .... there is a state update set for March 11th .... I plan to update our form at that time and see if it will go through

Like you, I filed online with H&R Block software on the 17th and it was accepted. But unlike you, I got my state refund within a week. On the other hand, my Federal refund is stalled. This was posted yesterday for the first time on the "Where's My Refund" page. Mine is a simple return. Until I start taking RMDs this year, my only income has been from SS and a few hundred in interest income; not very different from last year's and a few years before that.

by the terms of our state retirement, our NC income tax is Zero .... we owe the state nothing, they owe us nothing .... its interesting to hear other states have had delays ..... there was a delay in the state accepting returns but has apparently been ironed out
