The adventures of Number 4

I have often enjoyed threads that chronicle something. Since I really like my Buck 112 that I received from my son for my birthday, I thought I would like to photograph it occasionally as we go places together.
To start off, I climbed Panther Mountain Friday. I liked this moss covered rock as a background. Here is the first of hopefully many #4 adventures.
(I still have to find out why only half my picture is saved when saving to the computer from Iphoto in Icloud)

Fortunately, it was the business half of the picture that was saved. That's a very cool knife, Dave. Thanks for the stories.

#4 went with us on a nice little adventure over the weekend. We went to the Southern Adirondacks, to a cool place called Friend's Lake Inn. It is a bit more than what I am used to, but it was nice for sure.
http://www.friendslake.com/
We stayed in the Ledge Stone Room. It was a beautiful as the website photographs. It was a beautiful suite. A jacuzzi tub and steam shower. Wow. A great seating area, nice real fireplace, other seating outside on a little balcony. It was really nice. Sheets so soft they sell them in the small gift shop.
After dinner in the dining room, we all settled down to relax after a wonderful meal. #4 wanted to check it all out, and did. Then he and I sat down for a couple of scotch and waters. A really nice adventure!

Then off to enjoy a nice drink. (CT, notice the Stetson Sturgis got in on the action too!)

It is nothing I could normally afford or want to do, but it was a very nice experience. The staff were all locals who were the best at what they did that I had ever met. They seemed to really care. #4 liked it too.

Dave,
The knife looks good in your pictures. Thank you.
I am glad that you got to enjoy yourself with a mini vacation!
Don't work yourself to death since you came out of retirement.
Blessings to you and yours.

Number 4 and I haven't gotten too many moments for any adventures, but last Monday, I went grouse hunting with my step son and his friend. We met a couple of great guys and hunted with them too. We didn't connect, but #4 and I had a nice time getting out and hunting. This was getting ready.

I changed my Stetson for my Henry knit cap. It was a very windy day and hunting public land, you need to be visible. I used my orange vest on the exterior of the Woolrich jacket.

Yesterday, we went cross country skiing. I did well, only fell three times.

Today, after we left camp, we took a walk in a State Campgrounds. Of course, you know who came along. We found a license plate and trailer light in the middle of the roadway. I took it out to the parking area and put it on a sign so the owner could find it again. We thought it had just come off a truck and snowmobile trailer that had passed us earlier. (A surprising amount of activity in the park for the middle of nothing January). On the way out, the same truck and trailer was coming in. I flagged them down and sure enough, it was theirs. I told them where I put it. They were thankful.
On the walk out, a piece of bark caught my eye and #4 liked it too.

Never a dull moment with you and your knife. Great imagination and great buck knife. My grandfather left me one of his an Army Officer from Fort Bragg gave to him.

Ha, thanks. All I need is a little imagination and encouragement. I'm having fun with it too. Momma thinks I'm kinda kooky sometimes, but she's never seen this thread.

On my recent vacation, I didn't bring number four. I thought there were too many ways for it not to make it back home with me. My jeep was a good stand in:
We hung out at the cabana and had scotch.
