Unexpected Gift

What a surprise - got an unexpected gift from a friend today. (I have no idea what prompted it)

He is a local knife maker. He buys "Green River" knife blades, and certain kinds of leather. He buys or trades for shed antlers and makes the knives and sheaths. His name is John Shelton, and he sells or trades his knives at local swap meets and flea markets. He often donates his knives for local raffles that benefit the community.

Thought I would attach a couple of pictures.

Interesting shape. How does it feel in your hand?

That's a great knife.

If I am correct, they said something like, "If you're gonna stick him, stick him clear to green river." It was a reference to putting the blade in up to the identification markings on the blade to make sure you did what you intended.

It actually feels good in the hand - kind of fits the natural arch of the palm when grasping. I am not left handed but my camera is a right handed camera, so I held it in the left hand for the picture.
