When I saw that I was thinking it would be great for you hiking in State Parks where you can't carry a gun . If you ever get lost you could hunt food with it or kill a big cat if he attacks . There is a couple different designed I like also .

We CAN carry a concealed firearm in Washington State Parks. I've gone target shooting with some of the park rangers on state land where there is no shooting. Each park head ranger determines if there is shooting or not.

It is a brilliant idea, though probably not legal in my state. Only licensed hunters may carry specified guns or bows during specified seasons for specified animals on state land. Even those of us with pistol permits may not carry a gun in a state park or forest unless those criteria are met.
