Outstanding and I agree with you that the brass nails nicely highlight the mahogany trim piece. Not sure if my eyes could even see a 1/32” drill. :shock:

In case anyone was looking at the top edge of the mahogany trim and wondering why I didn't "center" the small brass nails, you have to remember the underside of the mahogany trim frame and it's purpose...

... that dado under the ring to accommodate the velvet and the double sided tape... if I had centered the small nails, they would have gone thru a weakened (thinner) area of the mahogany frame. I centered them in the width of the full thickness of the frame, 6mm. :o This is also why I had to use such small nails. :P

We are shipping the package to the doc this morning, Insured for $750. The postmaster always asks if I can justify the amount. I will tell him that the box and knife are custom and I have photos to prove the work that went into the project to justify the combination.
