December Hunter Project
Re: December Hunter Project
Yep, the side by side example above makes it obvious for us uninformed what you are saying. That practice piece looks great.

Re: December Hunter Project
I put the sheath pieces into the clamps and left them overnight. Went out after coffee this morning to give them a look.
Pulled the sheath out of the clamps, then spent some time shaping the edges on the sander, then beveled the edges. Afterwards I burnished the edges to seal them from moisture and dirt intrusion. This is mainly a practice piece, but I want to perform each step as if I will use the piece every day, to reacquaint myself with the process.
When I go back out I will dye and finish the pieces then sew the loop on the back of the sheath, it will be close to done.
Then I will play with enhancements.

You can tell a lot about the character of a man...
by the way he treats those who can do nothing for him.
I don't look back at the things I can no longer do, I just look forward to the things I still can.

The knife fits VERY tight in the sheath, I can hold the sheath upside down with the knife in place and shake it.
