'Tis a Spitfire -- my second Buck

After I got my last Victorinox Farmer multi-tool, I've been looking again at Buck knives. In my web wanderings, I've been focusing on either a larger fixed blade, or a 3-blade folder. But regularly in my searches, I kept on "bumping" into a very sharp Buck single-blade folder.

It finally jabbed me enough with its great looks, and I gave up a couple of weeks ago to the knife "bug." I thought this would be a great addition for my EDC rotation. Here is my new Buck.

Buck 722 Gray Spitfire folder. The blade length is 3.25, blade material is 420HC stainless steel, and the knife carries my favorite "look" -- a silver/gray blade and handle combination. Perfect! I checked out several discussions about this model amongst another blade forum's members, liked what I saw & read, and took the easy plunge to add this new Buck to my case.

Although I'm still an amateur at taking photos of knives, following are some for your viewing. Hope you enjoy the looks of this Buck. I really do!

Yup, Steve. The "Made in U.S.A." is a definite plus.

And I like the note packed in the knife box: "A Message from the Buck Family." It welcomes the customer into a "very large family" of Buck knife owners. That is a reason why I have been looking at their knives, and getting some for my small collection.
