First outing with the HW95

I started at 10 yards to be safe and make sure I was on paper.

I walked my shots up with the scope, and then moved out to 25 yards. (About all I can eek out here at home)

These are various targets from 25 with slight adjustments along the way. Funny, I didn't have to touch my windage at all until I moved out to 25, and even then, only about 10 clicks. It got pretty breezy before I finished, so I didn't want to make any more adjustments.

I'm starting to love this rifle. It did better than me, first time out. I will continue to try and do IT justice.

Been a while. Forgot to mark my targets or place a coin for reference. Oh well, next time.
The grid lines on the larger round targets are about 1/2" apart.

Looks good Mark. Congrats you will learn more as you shoot and buy as many pellets as you can handle. How you hold that gun when shooting will dictate your groups.

Thanks Randy! No squirrel is safe anymore if they get out of line. As long as they are not destroying anything, they will be allowed to live.
Heck; putting holes in paper is very rewarding when they go where you want them to.

Dont be scared to buy some smaller quantities of different weights and brands. I have some Norma pellets I havent tried yet and a couple others. One of these days I will get that done.

I might look into some lighter ones and hope for similar accuracy. When shooting yesterday, I was shooting into a pellet trap that I made and designed just like the black metal ones you see. I used 1/2" plywood for the angled back board. ...mistake! It did not fair well. Those H&N FTT pellets blew a hole right through it at 25 yards. I think I'll either buy a metal one, or reinforce the one I made with some sheet metal.
Yes, I do intend to experiment with other pellets, but I didn't hesitate to buy a large tin of the FTT's because I know it does like them. They WILL be used. Uh oh...this could get expensive . Did I previously mention budget when this all started? What's that!

Ya those 22 cal pellets will go right thru the plywood. I have metal bullet traps mounted on plywood for my shooting in the backyard.

Yup, that's what Im gonna have to do for shooting here. Can't wait to go to the cabin. I don't need them up there. I've got the whole mountain as a berm.

Not much I can add. It didn't take you long to get it dialed in. All fun now. Making me want to get mine out and shoot some.
