A trio of fun

Post by daytime dave » Sun Oct 16, 2022 7:03 pm

It was a beautiful fall day here and when the granddaughter, grandmother and mother went to the pumpkin farm, I was outside working in the garden. I heard a few neighbors shooting, Sunday is the neighborhood day I guess, so I became inspired. I brought out a few different guns. No new airguns though, just fun shooters. I like the replica series by Umarex and took three out. The M1a1 machine gun, the M-1carbine with real wooden stocks and the Winchester lever action. They are all fun in thier own way. Full auto is the best!

Here is a pic of the group.

I know that there is no such thing as too much fun. But it appears that you may be getting close.

Fun indeed. I have the Winchester and would like the M1 Carbine.

NCG, the full auto Thompson is the fav of the bunch. It is accurate too. Plenty of fun. The carbine wasn't as great as I thought it would be, but the real wood makes it a keeper. The Winchester is very cool and a good companion piece to the Colt that uses cartridges.

Yes, the Thompson and the Winchester take two CO2 cartridges and the carbine takes only one. You would find it hard to believe the Thompson is a smoothbore on semi auto. I was really impressed with it's accuracy so far.

I've been thinking of getting the Thompson for a couple of years now, looks like it would be a lot of fun to shoot especially since you say it's pretty accurate. How long will it shoot on two CO2 cartridges?

I have been getting about four magazines, which are as many as 30 bbs per magazine load, on two air cartridges. I got more than that once, when I was really paying attention to how long they lasted.
I'd say get it. It is sooooo much fun on full auto.

Here's a link to my first post about the Thompson.
