Airgun scope

Unless I am mistaken the Athlon scope does not have the adjustable objective. I like the AO for close in targets. Other than that I have no experience with the scope he is recommending

The Athlon has an additional turret on the right side, which is, Adjustable parallax. Is that not the same as AO ? I guess I'm still a bit confused on this issue. Only one of my other rifles sports a scope which might help explain my lack of knowledge regarding scopes. My BBS357 sports a simple Weaver 1-3x20. Not much there..but I like it on that rifle.

That would be the same. Just not familiar with that scope. Maybe give it a try and see it looks like when you get it. Im sure you could return it as long as it isnt mounted if you dont like it.

As Al says, a side focus is also a parallax adjustment feature. Do check, though, how close any particular scope with either an SF or AO will focus. A lot of SF scopes do not focus as close as 10 meters and that's really what you want for typical air gun shooting being under 50 yards.

Good point Al. Maybe I should order and see how it looks. I did see it on Amazon. I know I could return it to them if necessary. Probably easier than AOA.

NCG...It does say that it can be adjusted to a minimum of 10 yds.
Again, this scope is what the salesman from AOA who sold me my rifle recommended, and I had made no mention of price being an issue.
