Out at the new place and took a break

I brought my 392 out to the new place I bought. I've been moving things over the last few weeks. I built shelves in the barn and slowly brought things out. Today I brought the last major piece to the barn. Rain set in and a strong breeze. The pellet gun was meant as a form of relaxation on my one day off this weekend. Everytime I set the empty water bottles up and turned around, they blew over. I weighted them with small stones and put them on a piece of roughcut lumber. Finally, they stayed up long enough to be knocked over. Then they got shot laying down. Ten minutes of therapy was good for the soul. The distance was about ten yards. I shot from inside the barn, uphill.
It was fun and relaxing. I enjoyed being able to shoot in my own back yard. I can shoot firearms here too, but for now, pellet guns are just right.

Glad you got out Dave. You better stop and smell the roses a little more often.

Good for you. If you think about it far enough in advance, fill a few with water, freeze them, then cut away the plastic. Take them with you in a cooler. Shoot the ice "bottles," then the shards of ice bottles. Mr. Sun does your cleanup.
The kids used to love shooting the ice targets and seeing them explode. Big ice cubes work, dixie cups work as molds as well.

I can't wait to heal up, build my berm, and do some shooting.

That's a neat idea, will have to try it at my range up the road. Bet they really explode when shot with 9mm.

Wow, that’s some pretty green grass. Not bad for upstate NY in mid April I would assume.

Kids used to see people on tv or in movies shooting glass bottles.
I explained it wasn't safe, and if you weren't injured shooting, you could get cut during the cleanup.

The ice trick was the next best thing. Go all out, tint the water.

Love it, Dave. I'm a big fan of those 397/392s. I've been so wrapped up with the new PCPs and springers this spring that I've been neglecting out 397s and that's a shame, because they are really such solid guns. Our 397s also do very well with the Crosman Premiers, which helps to keep the price down on pellets. For backyard work, I usually call it good with 4 pumps. If it ever stops raining, here, I'll take one of the 397s out and have some fun with it.
That's a nice piece of wood on yours. I see you have it set up with the Crosman scope mounts, too. Thanks for sharing.

It got green three weeks ago so I ordered the new John Deere then. Waiting on the call as it's green and growing now.
