Range Report: Improved Oklahoma

This is what happens when you build an air range in your backyard.

A neighbor dropped by an hour ago with this pistol and we plinked at the side target. The trigger is terrible, the front sight gouges your hand when the barrel is broken open and it shoots low to the left.

Other than that it’s fun to shoot.

If it reaches 50 degrees this afternoon the CO2 Peacemaker will get some trigger time.

That's a new one on me. Never have seen one. Interesting.

We've invited several neighbors over to shoot airguns with us, but have never been taken up on our offer. (No snide comments, please.:)) We'd actually enjoy have some company when we shoot. Very little interest in air gun shooting in our area. Still a lot of that air guns are not real guns bias.

Air guns would not be my priority if I could shoot rimfire or centerfire in my backyard.

NCG, I agree with you. People seem to feel like Gene just expressed. I brought an air rifle to the gun range once. A few people expressed interest. The accuracy impressed them until they saw what pumping up the Disco took every fill. Why would I want to do that? Air is free and so is the workout I said as they walked away.

Having said that, I've never seen that Oklahoma either. I'll bet it would be fun to play a game of darts with it. Did you shoot any darts with it Gene?

We shot a couple. They were so heavy compared to a pellet they only went 20 feet. From the box and literature I would say this pistol is from the 1950’s.

Glad it was the "improved" version. That site might have been a bit more wicked on the previous version.
