I have several questions.

I have been considering setting up a 10 and 5 meter range for shooting Daisy 499B's. My wife would not be happy with one in our house, but I have 24/7 access to a close building that is available for use as a an indoor heated/airconditioned range. Only thing is there can not be any BB's left behind.

So, do the BB's ever deflect where they would scatter? What is the expected useful life of the cloth? What is the approximate cost of the material to build one(ballpark figure)?
Thanks
I shoot my 499 at 10 meters only and it will shoot at 10 meter as good as any pellet gun with the Avanti BB's and a box under the towel should capture 99% of the BB's . The towel will not damage the pellet or BB's . You could reuse the pellets for tin can shooting with the kids and the BB for like should work the same as when they were new . A magnet broom will pickup all you BB's . I have less then $10 in it with 2 Walmart towel I got yesterday ... Remember the target frame is only 3 days old and I resigned do it works on slingshot , BB and pellet gun . I tried carpet and is a good backstop but the slingshot ball bounce back and the towel don't .

I moved to a new house many years ago and my father helped with a small part the move. He was moving my Mec shotgun shell reloader when he mistakenly dumped the entire shot container on our new kitchen wood floor. Shot rolled everywhere in the kitchen. It took hours to get all of the shot cleaned up. My father felt really bad about it and and after several years we could finally laugh about it.

Many moons ago in my shop they were putting a pump on a new barrel of 30 gal of 90 wt gear oil and spilled the whole barrel . Then they when to the store an got 6 plus bags of kitty litter to soak it up . I came back to the shop and saw the mess they had . 1st of all , gear oil is too thick for kitty litter adsorb . Now I had 6+ bags of kitty litter I must clean before I can put it in the trash . If they would have scooped it up with a dust pan and put it back into the barrel it still could be used but not with kitty litter mixed in it . Getting gear oil off the floor is like honey a sticky mess . It took me a year to get it cleaned with solvent and then drain it , to get the kitty to where I could toss it in the trash and not fined . The gear oil was a total loss and cost me $1 a gal to dispose of it . Plus I had to buy a new barrel of gear oil . So your shot spill was not a big deal to me . :D :D :D
